MY STORY

BIO

All my life, I've loved music and singing. It was only when Jesus opened my eyes that I understood the purpose. I want to encourage one through authentic, passionate, and transformative worship. He has made me a worshipper since before the foundations of the earth. This is my response to the true Light shining in my darkest of days. The expression of one voice out of many crying "Prepare ye the way of the Lord..." I pray that these songs comfort the broken heart with His grace, His love, and His Word.

Q & A's:

If you had a mission statement, what would it be?

To encourage the body of Christ through authentic, passionate, transformative music ministry.

What is your current project?

"Come Whatever May" is my response to what God has done through trying times in our world.  God is calling His people to a genuine faith that endures even when rejected or misunderstood by this world.  Paul was warned in Acts 20 that trials and even suffering awaited him at continuing to preach the gospel. He responded that none of those things moved him, that life is worth nothing unless used to fulfill the ministry God gave him, to preach the Gospel.  This is the same intention behind the songs in this project.

How did you get started?

I always had a deep love for music and the arts.   My wife signed me up for guitar lessons at the age of 22.  Months later I started leading worship with the youth and children's department at Calvary Aurora. From there I was part of the worship team at Calvary Aurora for six years.  Since then I have served for the past 16 years at several Calvary Chapel Churches as a Christian Artist and Worship Leader.

Who are your musical influences?

Martin Smith (Delirious), David Gray, Cat Stevens, Ral Lamontagne, Harry Belafonte, Sam Cooke, Jimmy Cliff,  & Matt Redman to name a few

What is your favorite Praise or Worship song right now?

Gratitude by Brandon Lake.  I love the bridge calling people to get out of their shells and roar at the presence of God.

Where did you grow up?

I was born in Nigeria and came to Denver, CO when I was 5 years old.  I have been here ever since.
